Another busy week at POW with lots of fun learning activities happening throughout the school! What was your child’s favourite activity?
DSBN Student Census Survey
An email went out today with information about the DSBN student Census Survey. The overall purpose of the data collection is to improve the achievement and well-being of all students . Please reach out to the office if you did not receive the email or if you have any questions.
Healthy Snack Program
Did you know… each day we serve health snacks (a fruit/veggie, grain and/or protein) to students at POW? All students have access to food provided through our nutrition program that is partially funded by Niagara Nutrition Partners and contributions from local partners. This program is very beneficial to the growing minds and bodies of our students, and it provides such a positive start to their day. If you would like to support this program, please visit our school’s website and click on Cash Online. The link will be posted shortly.
The DSBN Elementary Handbook is your go-to resource for important information about policies, procedures, and academic expectations. You can find the handbook linked above and on our school website. We encourage all families to take a moment to review it and stay informed.
Terry Fox Run at Prince of Wales - TOONIES FOR TERRY!
- POW will again participate in the annual Terry Fox School Run on October 4th, periods 5 & 6 in the school field. Each student will receive a “freezie” at the end of the event.
- There are a few ways to donate this year:
- Donate online at School Cash Online

- Bring in a toonie (or another donation amount) on Run Day for collection at school.

Sports Teams
We’re thrilled that our school sports teams are underway! Once the teams are finalized, coaches will send home important information about practices, schedules, and events. We will also continue to add this information to our calendar on the school website. We appreciate your patience during this busy organizing period—it takes a lot of effort to ensure everything runs smoothly for our young athletes.
