It’s an exciting time for the Grade 8s as they are currently in the process of deciding which high school they will be attending next year. They had an amazing day at Thorold Secondary School and Guidance counselors from TSS visited today to share the process for selecting courses for next year. It was terrific to also have a visit from two former Prince of Wales graduates! The transition to high school has been made a little more comfortable as the Grade 8s also received their beautiful Grad hoodies last week!  A special thank you to our School Council for their generous donation towards the cost of the hoodies!

Inclement weather reminders

Information about transportation changes and school closures will be posted on all school websites, DSBN social media, and shared with local media. There is also detailed information on the DSBN website at http://www.dsbn.org/inclementweather

Optional Snow Day activities for kindergarten to Grade 8, will be available on the DSBN website on days when schools are closed due to inclement weather.

Winter Market

Just a reminder that our winter market will be taking place on Monday, December 16th. Donations are welcome and can be brought in to the school between Monday December 9th and Friday December 13th.  Students will be bringing home more information next week to help make this shopping experience fun and enjoyable!  If you have any questions, please contact holly.eccles@dsbn.org or karen.schilstra@dsbn.org 

Winter Concert Update

Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in participating in our upcoming Winter Concert! After reviewing the number of participants who have signed up for the evening performance, we regret to inform you that there is not enough participation to hold an additional evening performance. However, we are excited to announce that we will be adding an extra performance date during the day. In addition to the originally scheduled performance on Wednesday, December 18th @ 1:30 PM, we will now also have a second performance on Thursday, December 19th, at 9:00 AM.                                                                                                   We look forward to seeing you at one of these performances!
