As a school community, we are guided by the powerful words of Maya Angelou: "Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better." This quote reminds us that learning is a journey. Together, we will keep learning, growing, and doing better each day.

Hello Families,
A short week at Prince of Wales but a busy one filled with lots of learning and fun!
Grade 8 students from Mr. Lowe’s class team up with Ms. Marsili’s Kindergarteners for a Reading Buddies program! The older students read stories, share laughs, and build friendships with their younger buddies. This meaningful activity not only helps the Kindergartners develop early literacy skills and a love for reading, but it also gives the Grade 8s a chance to be mentors and role models . It’s a beautiful example of leadership, patience, and the power of connection across grades!
Our Grade 3 students are taking part in the Swim to Survive program at the Macbain Community Centre. This is an exciting and educational experience designed to teach essential water safety skills needed to survive an unexpected fall into deep water. It’s an important first step to being safe around water!
Regular attendance is crucial for elementary students as it lays the foundation for their academic success and social development. When students consistently attend school, they engage more fully with the lessons, build strong relationships with peers and teachers, and develop essential skills that will support their learning in the future. Missing school frequently can lead to gaps in understanding, making it harder for students to catch up. Consistent attendance helps create a positive routine, fosters responsibility, and sets students up for long-term success.
We understand that mornings can be hectic and unexpected delays happen. However, arriving on time is important to ensure students start their day smoothly and don’t miss valuable learning time. Our front office is a busy place, and getting students to class promptly helps keep everything running efficiently. Thanks for helping us support a successful start to every school day!
